About the Program
The MSc programme aims to create competent, highly skilled and committed agribusiness and value chain professionals capable of bringing difference in commercialization of the country’s agriculture and to establish knowledge in the public, government, private and NGO sectors.It is a two-year program, with the first year (2 semesters) for courses and the second year for research project proposal writing and conducting inter-trans-disciplinary research in a specific area of interest and defending a thesis
Agribusiness and Value Chain Management master program aimed to produce:

Experts equipped with the knowledge, skills and attitude required to enhance sustainable commercialization of agriculture;

Innovative, gender sensitive and socially accountable experts who can identify agricultural business challenges and opportunities, and address consumers’ dynamism;

Problem solving researchers in the areas of agribusiness and value chain.

Managers who can make use of comprehensive and multi-disciplinary approaches in dealing with agricultural problems;

Experts who can educate, consult, advise, train and render community development services; and

Competent planners, negotiators, analysts and developers, change and risk managers in areas of agribusiness and value chain
Admission requirements

BSC/BA in Agribusiness and value chain, Rural Development and Agricultural Extension, Mathematics, Plant/Crop Science, Horticulture, and Animal Science and related fields (candidates with other than agribusiness and VC background will take bridging courses)

Passing entrance qualification examination
Graduation requirements
To be eligible for graduation all the master candidates must fulfill:

Min. 32 credit hours of course work

Six credit hours of research work

A minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.00.
